Merry merry everyone! I got the idea for this post as I was sipping out of one of my favorite lawyer mugs. Thought it might be a fun place to share some of my favorite gifts – ones that I have and ones that I get for others! Enjoy and let me know if you have any other favorites that I should feature!
Now – let’s get started. I’m starting with this mug that is just one of my favorites. It always picks me up and reminds me that women lawyers are indeed pretty special. I love using this mug and it also makes a great gift!
Since we’re talking about beverages, I love this wine glass too. I once got it for a secret Santa party. The glass is pretty big which makes for a funny gift :).
You may have seen me post about this book on Instagram – the Whisper Network by Chandler Baker. This was a awesome read. I recommend it. I highlighted so many pages – the way Chandler describes what being a working mom is like is 100% accurate, and you’ll find yourself relating to the characters in different ways.
I’m new to these two things this year but they quickly became two of my favorites:
Nest Pumpkin Chai Candle. A friend got this for me as a gift and I fell in love. They are a little pricey but totally worth it!
It took me a while to get on the Poo-Pourri train, but with two kids and a husband, it was time to put this to use. So far, we are loving it. I’m all about holiday scents so I naturally love the Pumpkin Chai scent. The lavender one is great too!
The Lawyers Prayer. I once got this for a new graduate, and just loved it. I got a nice frame to put it in, and voila! Perfect!
Shirts from Lady Lawyer Life! I am totally buying this for several people on my list! I’m also working with Lady Lawyer Life to give one of these away so check out and enter our giveaway via my Instagram post (which will open on Monday, November 25th and close on December 15th)!
Check out all things on the Legal Boutique! Their shop is so cute – with many great gifts for the law students and lawyers in your life! Their “About Us” is on point!
Check out the RBG Boutique at Dissentpins.com. Their stuff is adorable! I have ordered from there before and was very happy!
Okay, these Mommy Lawyer books are necessary for the mommy lawyers in your life:
Absolutely love this one by Molly Bowen. It’s one of the books I don’t mind reading to my kids at night!
Also this one is HOT OFF THE PRESS from Michelle Browning Coughlin. Love it! Lawyer moms need ALL, THE, BOOKS we can get our hands on to explain this profession to our kiddos! Let’s also just take a moment to give Michelle a shout-out for running one of the largest mommy-lawyer groups on Facebook, MothersEsquire. Michelle, you are a gem for our profession. Thank you for all your wisdom and leadership. You can order Michelle’s book here:
Speaking of MothersEsquire – y’all – they have a STOREFRONT. Check it out here:
The best news is MothersEsquire is a certified non-profit organization and they work to promote women lawyers in the profession. Doesn’t get much better than that. One of my favorites from the MothersEsquire store is the “Yes, I’m the attorney shirt” because let’s face it, most of us have been assumed by men NOT to be the lawyer in the room. Their baby onesies (especially the “Jury Doodie” one) are also TOO CUTE!
This one isn’t necessarily a gift per se – but since we’re on the topic of Mommy Lawyers, maybe you could gift your friends a iTunes Gift Card so they can buy this amazing app from My Mommy Is. Kids learn all about what their moms do at work through this super cute, interactive app. I love it!
Speaking of onesies, “Don’t drop me, My mommy is a lawyer” onesies – okay, how cute?
Back to mugs – one of my followers sent me this – and I love it! This would be a good one to keep in your waiting rooms…
Speaking of waiting rooms – I recently went to an event where there was an assortment of Baked by Melissa cupcakes. OMG. I had about 20. They are SO MOIST and delicious, and they deliver everywhere in the US! I think these would make a great gift for the people in your life who have a sweet tooth!
Also make sure you check out the founder @melissabenishay on Instagram. Talk about a mom boss who legit created a cupcake empire out of her own kitchen. Melissa is always eating something yummy (most frequently either dark chocolate & peanut butter or cupcakes (obv) – but she also evens out her diet with awesomely fresh homemade salads). I also feel like I relate to her a bunch because besides having an obsession with desserts, we both have two girls of the same ages.
Next I would like to give a shout-out to one of my favorite brands, Faith & Hand. Monica is a TALENTED calligrapher and her work is so perfect for the holidays. Check her out Etsy page for gifts like these ornaments:
Monica also makes several other gifts which I love. Her foil prints like this one are just perfect:
Also, since I’m a fan for all things handmade, check out @carinaisabellaa on Instagram and her website here. Carina is a talented artist as well as a lawyer. You all know I support all lawyers who make time for their hobbies and things they love.
This is just an example of Carina’s stunning work.
Since we’re on the subject of awesome and powerful women, let me introduce you to the Amaio swimwear line which was started by Samantha Khoury. If you’re looking for some chic swimwear for the warmer summer months, check them at out https://amaioswim.com/.
This one is my favorite from their new collection!
One of my readers sent me this – it’s called “You and Me Time” – super cool company which creates products to help nurture the important relationships in your life. Check out their holiday collection!
Sometimes the favorite lawyer in your life needs a reminder about how amazing they are. For that, I suggest this cute little tote from Amazon!
Okay, back to mugs b/c #mugsarelife. This one is borderline inappropriate, but also kind of perfect:
I realize now that most of these gifts have been for women – but ALAS, a gift for men! Is there someone in your group who loves tacos or is always rooting for Taco Tuesday? If so, this shirt is for them. I got it for that person in my group!
I hope you enjoyed this guide! I’ll be adding to it, so let me know if you have any favorites!
Most importantly, Happy Holidays!
